What’s New?
- Summer Reading 2023, Monday, June 26th through Friday, August 18th. This year’s theme is Read, Make, Explore! with events and reading programs for children, teens, and adults. This year all ages are using a bookmark reading log to track reading and activities for prizes. Bookmarks are available starting Friday, June 23rd.
- New Library Hours Begin June 29th. Our operating hours are changing and we will no longer be offering “Summer Saturdays” between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
This Week @ LPL
- Preschool Playdate! Thursday, June 22nd at 3pm and Saturday, June 24th at 10:30am. Preschoolers and their families are invited to stop in during our Preschool Playdates to engage in imaginative play and build friendships.
- Pick Up Your Summer Reading Bookmarks, beginning Friday, June 23rd. The first 25 people in each age group to turn in a completed bookmark will receive a FREE T-SHIRT! (T-shirts are available in Youth XS through Adult XXXL.)
Next Week @ LPL
- Summer Reading 2023 Begins, Monday, June 26th. All ages will use their bookmark reading log and track any 5 activities, then turn it in to the library to be entered into our prize drawings. Children and Teens also get to choose a free book for each reading log they complete. Turn in as many as you’d like!
- Make Art with Artvan, Wednesday, June 28th at 3:30pm. ArtVan is a mobile art program that brings hands-on creative art opportunities for self-expression, personal growth, and fun. All of their projects aim to inspire art-making with a variety of materials to explore. All art supplies will be provided.
Mark Your Calendar
- The Library will be CLOSED on July 4th in observance of Independence Day. We will reopen at 9:30am on Wednesday, July 5th.
