What’s New?
  • New Library Hours Begin June 29th. Our operating hours are changing and we will no longer be offering “Summer Saturdays” between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
  • Independence Day Display. The featured display in the Children’s Department is full of books about the United States of America in honor of Independence Day. 

 

This Week @ LPL
  • Summer Reading 2023 Begins, Monday, June 26th. All ages will use their bookmark reading log and track any 5 activities, then turn it in to the library to be entered into our prize drawings. Children and Teens also get to choose a free book for each reading log they complete. Turn in as many as you’d like!
  • Make Art with Artvan, Wednesday, June 28th at 3:30pm. ArtVan is a mobile art program that brings hands-on creative art opportunities for self-expression, personal growth, and fun. All of their projects aim to inspire art-making with a variety of materials to explore. All art supplies will be provided.
  • Preschool Playdate! Thursday, June 29th at 3pm and Saturday, July 1st at 10:30am. Preschoolers and their families are invited to stop in during our Preschool Playdates to engage in imaginative play and build friendships.

 

Next Week @ LPL
  • The Library will be CLOSED on July 4th in observance of Independence Day. We will reopen at 9:30am on Wednesday, July 5th.
  • Magician Phil Smith, Saturday, July 8th at 11am. We will be hosting Magician Phil Smith for a magic show in Callahan Hall for all ages. Join us for a comedy magic show with juggling, storytelling, sleight-of-hand, mind reading and the magical production of a rabbit.

 

Mark Your Calendar
  • ArtVan in Kennedy Park, Monday, July 10th at 3pm. ArtVan will be providing hands-on creative art programs this summer in Kennedy Park for children ages 5-14 (ages 5-8 must be accompanied by an adult) on Mondays. All of their projects aim to inspire art-making with a variety of materials for self-expression, personal growth, and fun.
