  • July is Disability Pride Month. Check out this display of young adult books in the 2nd floor Teen Room, or browse our Teen Reads booklist.
  • Get Out and Explore this Summer. Borrow one of 3 themed packs loaded up with books, tools, and activities that will help you get outside and get hands on with nature!

 

This Week @ LPL
  • Community Puzzle Swap, Monday, July 10th at 11am. Come and trade a puzzle from home with one of ours or take one of ours to keep. Choose from a wide variety of images including animals, plants and flowers, and cityscapes with sizes ranging from 48 to 1,000 pieces. 
  • ArtVan in Kennedy Park, Monday, July 10th at 3pm. ArtVan will be providing hands-on creative art programs this summer in Kennedy Park for children ages 5-14 (ages 5-8 must be accompanied by an adult) on Mondays. All of their projects aim to inspire art-making with a variety of materials for self-expression, personal growth, and fun.

 

Next Week @ LPL
  • The Honey Exchange, Wednesday, July 19th at 5:30pm. The Honey Exchange will be showcasing a traveling observation hive. There will be a honey tasting at the end of the presentation.
  • Sparks’ Ark, Saturday, July 22nd at 11am. Come see, learn and interact with Sparks’ Ark’s amazing animals in Callahan Hall.
