What’s New?
  • New Display: Lewiston/Auburn History, Music, and Art. Delve into the rich history of Lewiston and Auburn with these books, movies, and CDs that celebrate our cities or were written by the people that live here. You can find this display on the first floor. 

 

This Week @ LPL
  • ArtVan in Kennedy Park, Monday, August 14th at 3pm. ArtVan will be providing hands-on creative art programs this summer in Kennedy Park for children ages 5-14 (ages 5-8 must be accompanied by an adult) on Mondays. All of their projects aim to inspire art-making with a variety of materials for self-expression, personal growth, and fun.
  • Summer Centerpieces & Wreaths, Wednesday, August 16th at 5:30pm. Utilizing faux flowers in a variety of colors, artificial butterflies, and paper flowers, participants will create either a centerpiece or a wreath with which to decorate their home.
  • Last Day of Summer Reading, Friday, August 18th. Be sure to get your bookmark logs turned in to the library so you can be entered for a chance to win one of our grand prizes! 

 

Next Week @ LPL
  • Art Walk, Friday, August 25th at 5pm. Art Walk LA fosters community and celebrates the vitality of Lewiston / Auburn by turning the downtown into a bustling arts district on the final Friday of each summer month, from May to September. Be sure to visit the library to see our featured artist!
Mark Your Calendar
  • Community Book Swap, Monday, August 28th at 11am. Come and trade up to three good condition books from home with one of ours that you haven’t read yet. Choose from a wide variety of genres including mystery, thriller, romance, cookbooks, knitting patterns, and self-help.
