BookReach: Call for Volunteers!

Graphic: Call for volunteers to apply for the Library's BookReach program

Do you have one hour a week to read to children in our community? Consider applying to join a rewarding volunteer adventure in our community by becoming a BookReach Volunteer!

BookReach is a community collaboration of volunteer readers who deliver storytimes to preschool-aged children. BookReach volunteers bring weekly storytimes to children who may not have an opportunity for them on a regular basis. Our mission is to raise a community of readers by enriching the lives of young children through the pleasure of reading.

BookReach began in the fall of 1997 with a grant from L.L.Bean and is now funded by the Lewiston and Auburn Public Libraries. BookReach volunteers donate one hour per week to bring storytimes to children who may not have an opportunity for them on a regular basis.
