This Week @ LPL
  • Sadie’s Fiber Arts Club: Yarn Painting, Wednesday, May 15th at 3:30pm. Kids will have the opportunity to create a hands-on fiber arts craft with local fiber artist, Sadie, in the Children’s Department at the Library.
  • Crafting Circle, Wednesday, May 15th at 5pm. Have a craft you started that is now collecting dust? Ever admired a craft and wondered if anyone could teach it to you? Want a second opinion on a template or a crafting kit? Lewiston Public Library is hosting a crafting circle for people to come and bring a craft to work on. Come, meet, and learn from like-minded people. 
  • Great Falls Forum, Thursday, May 16th at 12pm. Mission Working Dogs Explains All Things Service Dog. Christy will tell the story of the Mission Working Dogs organization and the impacts that service dogs can make in someone’s life.

 

Next Week @ LPL
  • Sugar in the Pan Concert, Thursday, May 23rd at 6:30pm. Vermont Folklife’s “Sugar in the Pan” Trad Band is coming to Maine!  After learning traditional Québecois repertoire from Pascal Gemme (of Genticorum) and Véronique Plasse (of Bon Débarras) with the Young Tradition Vermont Touring Group, these superstar teenage musicians will bring an exciting and diverse program of music to Maine. 
  • Memorial Day Closure. The library will be closed between Saturday, May 25th and Monday, May 27th. We will reopen at 9:30am on Tuesday, May 28th.
