BookReach Gifts Books to Local Preschools
BookReach, a free literacy program, recently gifted nearly 200 books to local, participating childcare centers. Students received board books and picture books about gardening along with bookmarks and fun facts about their volunteer reader to take home.
BookReach is a free volunteer literacy program sponsored by the Auburn and Lewiston Public Libraries. Volunteer readers visit centers for Storytime with a new bag of books every week. Its mission is to raise a community of readers by enriching the lives of young children through the pleasure of reading. This program is free and available to all licensed childcare centers in the Lewiston/Auburn area.
