What’s New?
- Great Falls Forum with Amy Smith, Thursday, April 21st @ 12pm (Virtual) — Our next Great Falls Forum will feature Amy Smith, Founder and Executive Director of Healthy Homeworks, with a talk entitled “Falling in Love with Lewiston.”
- We‘re Hiring! — The library is seeking a candidate with excellent customer service, technology, and adult programming skills to help deliver services to patrons as our new full time Adult & Teen Services Library Technician.
This Week at LPL
- Maine State Museum Listening Tour, Tuesday, March 29th @ 5:30pm (Virtual) — The Maine State Museum is seeking community input to find the stories and broader themes that resonate with and reflect the many voices, interests, and identities of the people of Maine. We will be hosting one of these virtual discussions so that the people of Lewiston have an opportunity to weigh in.
- North Star Challenge ends March 31st: Teens who read 3 or more titles from this year’s list of North Star YA Award nominees are eligible to vote for their favorite book at their school or public library. Youth participating in the North Star Challenge at Lewiston Public Library will receive an extra entry into the grand prize raffle for voting!
Next Week at LPL
- Make Art with ArtVan, Wednesday, April 6th @ 3:30pm — ArtVan will be providing an in-person, hands-on creative art program in the Children’s Department for children ages 5-14 (ages 5-8 must be accompanied by an adult) for self-expression, personal growth, and fun.
- Teen Tabletop RPGs, starting Thursday, April 7th @ 4pm — LPL Teen will be hosting a series of one-shot tabletop roleplaying games, in person in the teen lounge. Supplies will be provided – just bring yourself and your creative mind!
- Hop On Board the STEAM Train!, Saturday, April 9th @ 11am — Learn to make fluffy slime, a popsicle stick catapult, and a colorful abacus! Children of all ages and their families are welcome.
