What’s New? 
  • The Library is Hiring, Part Time Library Assistants. The Lewiston Public Library is seeking friendly and assertive individuals with excellent customer service skills to work at the library public service desks.
  • Stream Native American Heritage Month Film on Kanopy. Embrace the wisdom, resilience, and artistry of Native American communities through a variety of  captivating resources and events.
  • Native American Heritage Display in the Children’s Room. These books highlight the rich Native American culture and traditions.
  • We are raising $1,000,000 to renovate the children’s department. With the renovation planned, the Children’s Department will become an inspirational destination for kids and their families. In the next two years, the Lewiston Public Library aims to modernize the Children’s Department with a timeless, engaging design tied to Lewiston history. Join us!

  • Great Falls Forum, Thursday, November 21st at 12pm. Join professors John Baughman and Michael Sargent of Bates College in a consideration of the twists, turns, outcomes, and impacts of the 2024 elections.
  • Teen Button Making, Thursday, November 21st at 4pm. Our self-serve button making station is available for all teens, grab a backing, a cool design, and bring it all together to make something cool!
  • Daniel Tiger’s Grriffic Literacy Tour with Special Guest Chris Van Dusen, Saturday, November 23rd at 11am. Registration is full for Daniel Tiger’s Grriffic Literacy Tour. For those that have registered, we’ll see you there!

  • ArtVan, Wednesday, November 27th at 3:30pm. ArtVan is a mobile art program that brings hands-on creative art opportunities for self-expression, personal growth, and fun. All of their projects aim to inspire art-making with a variety of materials to explore. 
  • Thanksgiving Hours:
    • Wednesday, November 27th: Early closure at 5pm.
    • Thursday, November 28th through Sunday, December 1st: Closed.
