What’s New?
- Spring Break at the Library. Spring break is almost here, and we have a ton of kid-friendly programming happening at the library. Our theme this year is OWLS!
- Make an Owl Friend, happening all April. Make an owl to take home or create one for display at the library. Use crayons, colored pencils, feathers and glue to decorate your paper owl.
- Owls of Maine, Tuesday, April 22nd at 11am. Beginning with slides and sounds, participants will learn the identifying characteristics and calls of each owl and explore the adaptations of these silent nocturnal hunters. There will be an owl in attendance!
- Dissect an Owl Pellet, Thursday, April 24th at 12pm. Owl’s swallow their food whole but cannot digest bones and fur so these are separated by the owl’s gizzard. After several hours, the owl regurgitates a pellet of the undigested material.
This Week @ LPL
- ArtVan, Wednesday, April 9th at 3:30pm. ArtVan is a mobile art program that brings hands-on creative art opportunities for self-expression, personal growth, and fun. All of their projects aim to inspire art-making with a variety of materials to explore.
