What’s New?
- Prizes Announced! Garden Party Murder Mystery, Saturday, April 26th at 5pm. Includes dinner, a raffle, and a team based race to solve the fictional murder of Lily Pine, found dead at her grandmother’s annual garden party. Registration required.
- Raffle prizes for the Garden Party Murder Mystery event include: Adirondack chairs, a wood burning fire pit, a Lost Valley season pass, Coastal Maine Botanical Garden passes, a Cedar Grove Sauna pass, seed packets and soil, hand-painted wine glasses, and more!
- The library will be CLOSED on Monday, April 21st in observance of Patriot’s Day. We will reopen at 9:30am on Tuesday, April 22nd.
This Week @ LPL
- Paint Night [FULL], Tuesday, April 15th at 4pm. Adults of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to join us at the library for an evening of watercolor painting.
- Teen Art Club, Thursday, April 17th at 3:30pm. Teens can work on any artistic project they wish. Supplies will be free and available for all teens.
Next Week @ LPL
- Owls of Maine, Tuesday, April 22nd at 11am. Beginning with slides and sounds, participants will learn the identifying characteristics and calls of each owl and explore the adaptations of these silent nocturnal hunters. There will be an owl in attendance!
- Don’t Lose It, Reuse It, Tuesday, April 22nd at 5pm. This program will highlight the importance of Earth Day and the ways one could reduce, reuse, and recycle. Using recycled materials like bottle caps, recycled paper, and plastic bags, children can create friendship bracelets, puppets, or mini pets.
- ArtVan, Wednesday, April 23rd at 3:30pm. ArtVan is a mobile art program that brings hands-on creative art opportunities for self-expression, personal growth, and fun. All of their projects aim to inspire art-making with a variety of materials to explore.
- Affordable Internet after the ACP, Wednesday, April 23rd at 4pm. In this one-hour class we will look at the timeline published by the FCC regarding the Affordable Connectivity Program winddown, so you know what to expect. We will also look at several options which may help you get the internet access you need at a price you can afford. Registration required.
- Dissect an Owl Pellet, Thursday, April 24th at 12pm. Owls swallow their food whole but cannot digest bones and fur so these are separated by the owl’s gizzard. After several hours, the owl regurgitates a pellet of the undigested material.
- Great Falls Forum with Monica Wood, Thursday, April 24th at 12pm. Join Author Monica Wood as she discusses the impact of libraries in her own journey as a professional writer. A book sale and signing will follow the event.
- Some Bunny Loves You, Friday, April 25th at 10am. Caregivers will be able to help their babies create a spring bunny keepsake with their child’s footprints.
