BookReach Gifts Books to Local Preschools

BookReach, a free literacy program, recently gifted over 140 books to local, participating childcare centers. Preschoolers received board books and easy reader stories along with fun facts about their volunteer reader to take home.

BookReach is a free volunteer literacy program sponsored by the Auburn and Lewiston Public Libraries. Volunteer readers visit centers for Storytime with a new bag of books every week. Its mission is to raise a community of readers by enriching the lives of young children through the pleasure of reading. This program is free and available to all licensed childcare centers.
