2026 Summer Reading at LPL
2026 Summer Reading at Lewiston Public Library
June 1st – August 31st, 2026
The 2026 Summer Reading program at Lewiston Public Library begins Monday, June 1st and will run until Monday, August 31st. The Library will have free, public events, performers and programs for children, teens, and adults throughout the summer. This year’s theme is Read, Make, Explore!
Check out our calendar to see upcoming events and view the pages below for more information about each program:
This year, all ages are using a bookmark reading log to track reading and activities for prizes. Here’s how it works:
- Pick up a bookmark from any service desk
- Complete at least 5 activities from our Summer Reading bookmark
- Turn in your bookmark at the Library to be entered into prize drawings!
Children and Teens will also get to choose a FREE BOOK for every reading log completed. All ages may complete as many reading logs as they want throughout the summer reading program.
This summer…
- READ (or listen!) to books
- MAKE something new like a craft or a recipe
- EXPLORE new horizons by visiting a park or museum, attending a Library program, or by learning something new.
Admission is free to all Summer Reading events and no library card is required to participate in the reading programs. Prizes must be picked up in person at the library. Bookmarks are available starting on Monday, June 1st.
