Join us at the Lewiston Public Library for a monthly meeting of Genre Roulette Book Club, where we read a different genre each season. This summer we’re reading Fantasy! We will meet for discussion in the Couture Room from 5:30 to 6:30pm on Thursdays June 18th, July 16th, and August 20th.

On June 18th, we’ll meet to discuss The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab. Making a Faustian bargain to live forever but never be remembered, a woman from early eighteenth-century France endures unacknowledged centuries before meeting a man who remembers her name.

On July 16th, we’ll meet to discuss Piranesi by Susanna Clarke. A man explores an infinite, labyrinthine house filled with statues and an imprisoned ocean, uncovering a shocking truth about his world.

On August 20th, we’ll meet to discuss Greenteeth by Molly O’Neill.  A monster with sharp teeth lurks in a lake, until a witch named Temperance is thrown in, sparking an unlikely alliance.

This book club is recommended for ages 18+. If you need help locating a copy of any of these titles, please contact our Lending Services Department at 513-3134 or visit the lending desk on the library’s first floor.

The Lewiston Public Library is located downtown at 200 Lisbon Street at the corner of Pine Street. More information on this program is available by contacting the Lewiston Public Library at 513-3134 or LPLCirc@lewistonmaine.gov.
