5th Annual Teen Opportunities Fair

 

The Lewiston and Auburn Public Libraries will host the fifth annual Teen Opportunities Fair on Saturday, April 2nd at Lewiston Public Library’s Callahan Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature exhibits and displays from a number of local businesses and agencies that provide services or volunteer opportunities for local teenagers and a few businesses and organizations that employ teenagers.

The Fair will feature area organizations supporting local young adults in one or more of the following pursuits: volunteering, internships, continuing education, life skills, and employment. The event is free and open to all area teens.

Participants will be able to talk with area agencies regarding details on the services and opportunities that they provide for teenagers. Some businesses and organizations will be on hand for to discuss what employers are looking for in new hires, and offer an opportunity to apply for jobs, internships, and volunteer experiences. In addition, the Fair will feature door prizes and free food.You can also click for more to know more about door services. The showcase of local organizations exhibiting at the Teen Opportunities Fair includes: The YMCA; Auburn Police Activities League; 4-H of Androscoggin and Sagadahoc Counties; Girl Scouts of Maine; the Career Center; Lewiston Rec. Department; Lots to Gardens; Tree Street Youth; Community Credit Union; representatives from area colleges, and more!
