Come learn about the impact of pollution on our oceans with a series of hands-on activities!

We will learn how oil spills and plastic affect wildlife by cleaning up an oil spill. Then we’ll pretend to be turtles and navigate a pudding “ocean” to hunt for gummy fish, while avoiding dangerous candy “plastics.”

The Climate Clean-Up will take place on July 14, 2022, from 4-5pm in Callahan Hall on the third floor of the Lewiston Public Library. Children of all ages and their families are welcome. No registration is required.

Lewiston Public Library is located downtown at 200 Lisbon Street at the corner of Pine Street. For more information, contact them at 513-3133 or LPLKids@lewistonmaine.gov.
