Genre Roulette Book Club: Thrills and Chills
Join us at the Lewiston Public Library for a monthly meeting of Genre Roulette Book Club, where we read a different genre each season. Our theme this fall is Thrills and Chills! We will meet for discussion in the Couture Room from 5:30 to 6:30pm on Thursdays September 17th, October 15th, and November 19th.
On September 17th, we’ll meet to discuss The Hollow Places by T. Kingfisher. A young woman discovers a strange portal in her uncle’s house, leading to madness and terror.
On October 15th, we’ll meet to discuss We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson. A perverse, isolated, and possibly murderous family encounters an unexpected visitor.
On November 19th, we’ll meet to discuss My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite. A Nigerian woman must contend with her younger sister who has a very inconvenient habit of killing her boyfriends.
