Rainbow Readers Book Club
Lewiston Public Library’s is pleased to announce their fall 2026 selections and meeting dates for the Rainbow Readers Book Club. This club was previously the Queer Nonfiction Book Club and is expanding to include a wider variety of queer books and meets monthly on the last Tuesday of the month in the library’s Couture Room from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. The fall meeting dates are September 29, October 27, and November 24.
At the September 29 meeting, the group will discuss Murder in the Dressing Room by Holly Stars. This mystery follows drag queen Misty Divine on her quest to solve the murder of her drag mother and clear her name as a suspect.
On October 27, the group will discuss Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield. This is a literary horror novel following Miri and her wife Leah’s relationship after Leah returns changed from a deep-sea mission.
On November 24, the group will discuss In the Dream House by Carmen Maria Machado, a memoir in which Machado explores an abusive relationship through classic horror tropes.
