The Lewiston Public Library will host a Tarot 101 Workshop on October 17, 2022 from 3 to 5 pm in The Jeanne Couture Room. The Tarot 101 Workshop will feature Kate Sheridan, a.k.a The Laundress. This workshop is free, and open to both teens and adults.
This event is for anyone who wants to learn more about tarot cards, using the classic Smith-Rider-Waite deck as a guide. We will cover basic tarot theory and give you a bird’s eye view of all 78 cards and how they work together. Our goal is to demystify tarot in order to empower you to use the cards for self-reflection and personal growth. Throughout the evening, you’ll be invited to consider card images using both the information from the workshop and your own intuition. At the end of the evening, you’ll be shown how to conduct a reading for yourself or others, and you’ll leave with practical next steps to take at home.
Registration is not required for this event, but is encouraged due to high interest. Register online here to save your spot. A limited number of tarot decks will be available for use at the event, so please bring your own if you have one, along with a notebook and pen.
