What’s New?
- Animated Film on Kanopy. Dive into a world of enchantment with Kanopy’s extensive collection of animated films! From classic hand-drawn tales to cutting-edge CGI wonders, there’s something for every animation enthusiast. Rediscover childhood favorites or explore new, visually stunning narratives that captivate the heart and ignite the imagination.
- Spring Display in Children’s Room. It the mood for spring weather? Check out the book display in the Children’s Department full of books featuring the plants, animals, and weather of spring.
This Week @ LPL
- Scholarship Info Night, Monday, April 1st at 5:30pm. The Library will host the Maine Community Foundation to present its scholarship opportunity for non-traditional students. The scholarship supports a range of training, including attending two- and four-year colleges and universities, completing a certificate and other non-degree programs, or attempting a self-directed learning experience with a clear goal.
- Teen & Friends Magic: the Gathering Club, Tuesday, April 2nd at 3pm. New players will have the chance to make their first starter deck and receive guidance on how to play and test their skills against other teens!
- Sadie’s Fiber Arts Club, Wednesday, April 3rd at 3:30pm. Kids will have the opportunity to create a hands-on fiber arts craft with local fiber artist, Sadie, in the Children’s Department at the Library.
- Little Keepsakes: Helping Hands Kitchen Towels, Friday, April 5th at 10am. Caregivers will be able to create a personalized keepsake kitchen towel using the handprints of their young children.
Next Week @ LPL
- Author Talk with Marie Thérèse Martin, Wednesday, April 10th at 5:30pm. Her book tells her story of growing up in Rumford, ME in the shadow of the paper mill and how, as a nurse, she came to believe that the mill was causing the high rates of cancer in the region.

- The Library will be CLOSED on Monday, April 15th in observance of Patriot’s Day. We will reopen at 9:30am on Tuesday, April 16th.
