LPL Newsletter 6/10/2024
What’s New?
- Interlibrary Loan Temporarily Suspended. Due to an issue with our contracted book delivery service, the Maine State Library has made the decision to turn off materials requesting between libraries beginning last week, which means that no new holds can be placed and existing holds will not be fulfilled.
- Lewiston Public Library is Hiring! The Building Monitor is responsible for monitoring the safety and behavior of visitors inside the library building and on library grounds. They represent the Library as a familiar, friendly face that is frequently visible to patrons in all parts of the building.
- Pride Display in Children’s Room. Stop by the Children’s Department to check out our book display for LGBTQ+ Pride Month 2024 located on top of the nonfiction shelves.
- Great Falls Forum with Mission Working Dogs is now available to watch on YouTube. Christy Gardner, Founder and President of Mission Working Dogs will tell the story of the Mission Working Dogs organization and the impacts that service dogs can make in someone’s life.
