What’s New?
- March Madness with the Masons is Back! All March, the Lewiston Public Library is partnering with the Ancient Brothers Lodge #178 and Ashlar Lodge #105 to bring the Masonic Lodge literacy program to children in Lewiston and Auburn and to give away brand new bikes and Kindle Fire tablets.
- More Large Print Books! The Children’s Department has added MORE large print books to check out! Stop by and browse, or check our latest additions online.
- We’re Hiring: Part Time Library Assistants. The deadline to apply is February 21st at 4pm.
- New Library Displays. The new display in the Children’s Department is full of books about presidents, both factual and fictional, along with other political figures in celebration of Presidents’ Day on February 19th.
This Week @ LPL
- Teen Crafting Circle, Tuesday, February 20th at 3:30pm. Teens, come by after school to relax and make some crafts! The teen crafting circle will offer teens button making, bracelet making, and coloring pages for them to work on!
- Sadie’s Fiber Arts Club, Wednesday, February 21st at 3:30pm. Kids will have the opportunity to create a hands-on fiber arts craft with local fiber artist, Sadie, in the Children’s Department at the Library.
- Crafting Circle, Wednesday, February 21st at 5pm. Have a craft you started that is now collecting dust? Ever admired a craft and wondered if anyone could teach it to you? Want a second opinion on a template or a crafting kit?
- Valentine’s Baby Keepsake, Friday, February 23rd at 10am. Caregivers and their young children will be able to create their own version of Maine artist Robert Indiana’s famous stacked LOVE art on canvas using handprints and footprints.

- MaineTransNet Teen Tabletop, Monday, February 26th at 4:15pm. We’re hosting a series of one-shot tabletop roleplaying games in person in the IDEA Lab. Supplies will be provided – just bring yourself and your creative mind!
- The Lost Art of Tea Leaf Reading, Wednesday, February 28th at 11am. What do you see in your cup? Come learn the noble art of divination by tea leaf reading in this fun and informative class.
- Teen Video Games: Tournament, Wednesday, February 28th at 3pm. NBA 2k24 Tournament! Winners will receive a $25 gift card!
- Homework Help, Thursday, February 29th at 3pm. Needing some help with your schoolwork? Come to the Lewiston Public Library every Thursday starting February 29th to work alongside Bates tutors from the Harward Center!
