AUGUST ADULT SUMMER READING CRAFT NIGHT AT LPL
On Wednesday, August 7th, Lewiston Public Library will be hosting an adult craft night. We will be making art from old books. This free, public program will take place from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm in The Jeanne Couture Room, on the first floor of the Lewiston Public Library.
We will be turning old paperback books into 3-D apples. All supplies will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own paint smocks or aprons. Participation in this event counts towards the Library’s Summer Reading program. This event is open to teens and adults.
The 2024 Summer Reading program at Lewiston Public Library runs from Monday, June 24th until Saturday, August 17th with the theme of Read, Make, and Explore. We are encouraging participants not only to read or listen to books but also to make a new craft or recipe or explore a favorite place in our beautiful city or a new landmark in our wondrous state.
The Lewiston Public Library is located downtown at 200 Lisbon Street at the corner of Pine Street and Lisbon Street. More information on this event and the Summer Reading Program is available by contacting the Lewiston Public Library Adult and Teen Services Department at 513-3135 or LPLReference@lewistonmaine.gov.
