Maine Community Solar

As interest in solar power continues to grow, community solar initiatives are emerging as an accessible and affordable way for individuals to tap into the benefits of renewable energy. The Lewiston Public Library is hosting an information session by Maine Community Solar, shedding light on the concept of community solar and its advantages for Maine residents. Whether you’re looking to reduce your monthly electric bill or contribute to a more sustainable future, this event aims to provide clarity on how you can participate in community solar programs. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to receive personalized guidance by bringing their most recent electric bill. While exploring renewable energy options, it’s also helpful to consider tools like a Texas solar panel cost calculator to assess the financial feasibility and potential savings of implementing solar power in your home. For more information about Maine Community Solar and its mission to promote sustainability and renewable energy in Maine, visit their website at www.mainecommunitysolar.org.

The Lewiston Public Library will host Maine Community Solar for an information session on Tuesday, July 12 at 5:30pm in Callahan Hall and streaming virtually on Zoom and Facebook. This free, public program will cover what community solar is, how it works, and what the benefits are to Maine residents.

About the event: With solar farms going up across the state and flyers arriving weekly in the mail, it can be difficult to parse what all this information means and how the average citizen can take advantage to have a lower monthly electric bill. After the presentation, there will be an option to ask additional questions. If you think you might be interested in participating in community solar, bring a copy of your most recent electric bill and get one-on-one assistance with signing up for a program that is the best fit for you.

About the organization: Maine Community Solar is a local organization educating Maine businesses and consumers about the benefits of community solar and helping them enroll in the program that’s right for them. They are on a mission to make Maine a leader in sustainability and renewable energy. For more information, please visit www.mainecommunitysolar.org
