Touch and Learn About Ocean Creatures! 🦀

 

Saturday, August 8th youth are invited to experience UMaine’s Touch Tank Hands-On Experience at the Lewiston Public Library in Callahan Hall.

The Summer Reading program will provide the opportunity for participants to touch and learn about a variety of ocean creatures including a sea star, an anemone, and different types of crabs.


There will be two sessions for this program. The first session is from 10:30AM-11:30AM and the second session will be from 11:45AM-12:45PM.

To allow participants to get the best experience and allow access to the tank and its creatures and the accompanying information registration is necessary. Each session can accommodate 20 youth.

This program is recommended for youth between the ages of 5-13. Children under 8 years of age must be always supervised by an adult.


Registration is required. Spots are limited and signups will be available starting on Saturday July 25th.

If you register and find out you cannot attend, please contact us as soon as possible so we can contact youth on the waiting list.


The Lewiston Public Library is located downtown at 200 Lisbon Street at the corner of Pine Street.
