AUTHOR CLIF TRAVERS TO SPEAK AT LPL
Author Clif Travers will be reading from and discussing his book, The Stones of Riverton, at the Lewiston Public Library on Wednesday, December 6th at 5:30 PM. This free event is open to the public.
Inspired by the gravestones in a small Maine town, The Stones of Riverton is a collection of linked short stories and novelettes moving across 200 years of secrets and complicated history in a town divided by economics and culture. Tackling with the hidden truths and prejudices that often exist in rural communities, the book is fictional but grounded in the stories and rumors Travers heard from family and community over his life in Maine.
Clif Travers is a visual artist and writer living in Portland, Maine. His writing has been featured in Underwood Press, Freeze Frame Fiction, Coffin Bell Journal, Crack the Spine Anthology, Dimeshow Review, Sonora Review, among others. His collection of linked stories, The Stones of Riverton, was published by Down East Books in September 2023. Clif received his MFA in creative writing from Stonecoast at the University of Southern Maine, and he teaches creative writing at Writerfest in New York, The Writing Center in Gloucester Massachusetts, and Maine Media in Camden, Maine.
A book sale and signing will follow this event. Books can be purchased with cash, check, or digital pay.
