The 2023-2024 season of the Great Falls Forum continues on Thursday, November 16th, featuring Ryan Eldridge from Maine Cabin Masters and Kennebec Cabin Company, with a talk entitled “Preserving Maine History, One Rustic Cabin at a Time.” This free, public program will take place from 12 noon to 1 PM in Callahan Hall at the Lewiston Public Library.
During the lecture, Eldridge will discuss how the Maine Cabin Masters television show began and the opportunities it provided the group to create The Woodshed restaurant, bar, and event venue and expand their other businesses. Participants will also hear about the variety of career opportunities that can be found in the trades followed by time to ask questions of our speaker.
Ryan Eldridge became a carpenter by chance. In his early 20s, Ryan found himself traveling from the mountains in the winter to the ocean in the summer following seasonal employment opportunities. His inability to sit still and his desire for more stability led him on a path to the job site. Over time, he discovered his love of carpentry, the physical labor involved with pounding nails, and the creative outlet he gets when building things.
When not filming a new season for the hit TV show Maine Cabin Masters, Ryan enjoys spending time on the beautiful lakes of Maine with family and friends, traveling to see his favorite musicians, and working amongst his staff at their growing businesses, the Kennebec Cabin Company retail store, and the Woodshed restaurant, bar, and event venue.
The Maine Cabin Masters is a reality TV show featuring Chase and his team of Mainers, renovating rustic camps and cabins across the state of Maine. Working alongside his sister, brother-in-law and best friends, Chase and the rest of the Cabin Masters work closely with homeowners to lovingly renovate and preserve beloved properties for future generations to enjoy.
The Maine Cabin Masters unique brand of humor, resourcefulness and creative flair have created a devoted fan following of the show. The cast would be the first to tell you an equally deserving co-star is our great State of Maine. Viewers from around the world are falling in love with Maine’s natural beauty and authentic lifestyle.
Admission is free to all Forum events and reservations are only required if attending via Zoom. The Zoom link will be posted to the Library website and Facebook prior to the event.
